How Do You Connect Your SumUp Card Reader with Tuft?

Setting up your SumUp card reader with Tuft is simple! Follow these steps to connect your device and start processing payments.

Choose Your Setup Option

From the Dashboard, you have two options:

  1. I already have a card reader → Select “Connect a Card Reader”
  2. I need a card reader → Select “I don’t have a Card Reader” to purchase one before proceeding.

Connect Your Card Reader

If you already have a card reader, follow these steps to connect it:

Start Pairing

  1. Make sure your device is on and not logged in.
  2. Press the downward-facing arrow at the top of the screen to open the menu. Then, select Connections.
  3. In the Connections menu, select API.
  4. Establish a connection by tapping the Connect button in the API menu.
  5. A verification code will appear on your SumUp device. Enter this code into the Verification Code field.
  6. Select your card reader name, then click the Finish Pairing button.

Confirm Connection

Once successfully paired, your SumUp card reader will display “Ready” on the screen. This means your device is now connected and ready to accept payments.
