Setting your booking timeslot intervals

Last updated: November 10, 2025

What are timeslot intervals?

Timeslot intervals determine what times clients can book appointments through the Tuft app. Instead of allowing bookings at any random time, you can restrict them to specific intervals.

Available intervals

You can choose between three options:

🕒 15 minutes (default) Bookings can be made on the hour, quarter past, half past, and quarter to. Example: 9:00, 9:15, 9:30, 9:45, 10:00, etc.

🕠 30 minutes Bookings can only be made on the hour and half past. Example: 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, 10:30, 11:00, etc.

🕚 1 hour Bookings can only be made on the hour. Example: 9:00, 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, etc.

How to change your interval

  1. Log into your dashboard at dashboard.tuftapp.com
  2. Go to Settings > Calendar Config
  3. Find the Timeslot Interval setting
  4. Select your preferred interval (15 min, 30 min, or 1 hour)
  5. Save your changes

Why use larger intervals?

Larger intervals help prevent:

  • Bookings appearing randomly throughout the day
  • Awkward gaps in your schedule
  • Clients booking right in the middle of existing appointments

Setting a 30-minute or 1-hour interval creates a more structured booking schedule.

What this doesn’t do

This feature controls when bookings can be made, but it doesn’t:

  • Limit which services can be booked on busy days
  • Prevent large breeds from booking when you’re already full
  • Let you define specific “bookable hours” within your opening times

We’re working on more advanced scheduling controls that will give you greater flexibility over these scenarios.
